Course Content

You will study ten mandatory units and five optional units. Lessons include a mix of classroom theory and practical tasks. Mandatory topics cover professional responsibilities, plant and soil science, and land-based industry issues. You will also learn about plant care, propagation, tree pruning, and event planning. The course helps you develop problem-solving, communication, and self-management skills.

Entry Requirements

You need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above. This must include English and Maths.

You can progress to a degree or seek employment opportunities. Academic options include BSc (Hons) in Horticulture, BSc (Hons) in Horticulture Landscape Management, and FdSc in Garden Management.
