About Us
In August 2025, Loughborough College and SMB College Group merged, creating the newly formed Loughborough College Group.
Brooksby College is our specialist land-based and sports campus, situated in the village of Brooksby, Melton Mowbray.
The 850-acre Brooksby site comprises a Grade 2 listed 16th century manor house, a working arable and livestock farm, industry-standard glasshouses, a nationally-renowned Equestrian Centre, and an extensive Animal Care Centre.
The campus also houses a £3.6million sports facility, industry-standard workshops for Engineering, Construction and Land-based students, an Early Years ‘Discovery Den’, Beauty Therapy Salon, and Creative Media Studio. An £18 million Agri-tech Centre development is also underway and is due to open in Autumn 2026.
IGNITE Performing Arts is based at our Melton Campus, situated in the town of Melton Mowbray. The facilities offer a real industry-style environment for Performing Arts students to hone their craft and really thrive.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of Brooksby College, now a part of Loughborough College Group, the College combines a proud heritage of excellent teaching with modern, industry standard facilities across a wide range of subject areas.
From Technical to Land-Based and Vocational Training, students benefit from specialist environments and expert teaching. Set in beautiful rural surroundings and vibrant cultural spaces, the campus provides unique opportunities to learn, grow, and prepare for the future.

Campus investment
A Department for Education (DfE) funded project will bring a brand new state-of-the-art Agri-Tech Centre to Brooksby College.
Featuring equipment such as GIS software for field and yield mapping, virtual learning environments, purpose-built labs, drones, and robotics – all of which will benefit students and apprentices studying a range of qualifications at our specialist land-based campus.
There will also be additional buildings built as part of the project, including a new refectory and Student Services area.
