Brooksby Equestrian Centre houses some truly fantastic facilities, including an indoor riding arena and outdoor floodlit arena with British Show Jumping approved jumps. Additionally, students benefit from access to our state-of-the-art Equine Rehabilitation Centre with Activo-Med water treadmill, Maxuss Solarium and more.

Students have the opportunity to take part in charity shows and enter BHS Challenge Awards.

Students have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of educational trips, visits, and guest speaker sessions designed to enhance their industry knowledge, practical skills, and career awareness. These include workshops with the British Horse Society on road safety and welfare, visits to horse trials and industry-focused talks on equine nutrition.

Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English, Maths and Science OR Level 1 Animal Care and Entry 3 Functional Skills.

Please note that for the welfare of our horses there is a 13 stone weight limit for riding. This will be covered in more detail at a Ride/Practical Assessment which forms part of the Admissions process for these courses.

Many of our Level 2 students go on to our Level 3 Equine course or into employment. After successfully completing Level 3, students can progress on to Higher Education and/or progress into successful careers across all areas of the Equestrian industry, including grooms, riding instructors, eventing, behaviourists, rehabilitation, industry-retail, feed companies and teaching.
